Given that we are 70% rural, is the question you are asking relevant? Even if the educated (which is a much lesser percentage than 30%) do go into farming, it will constitute a tremendous minority. So does not the more important question become: Why are farmers not educated, rather than asking why are the educated not farmers?
On another note, I found 'Peepli Live' underwhelming. The movie is satirizing things that we understand fully well, the medias indifference, the governments indifference and in not so subtle a fashion. The 'shit' being a low point. In some ways these are low hanging fruits. What I would like to see is a satire on our indifference to this whole drama. The way the educated upper middle class is more than happy to sit read news, watch movies on this issue, etc etc. Basic point being, I am tired of media parodies, start parodying us, who are as much responsible. As is obvious, this is not a movie critique, more a personal rant.

Smart title.
Is that a diplomatic way of saying "The title was the only good thing in this article" ?
This just will not do. Considering you are the most active reader/commentor on this blog, you better step up your game.
